Kieran Donaghy has nothing to apologise for – Mayo fans do
I see Kerry forward Kieran Donaghy has apologised for giving the finger to Mayo fans in Castlebar last Sunday.
Why?
Some complete knacker in the crowd had just narrowly missed Donaghy’s head with a piece of timber. And he’d already been struck with a coin thrown from the crowd, as had the Kerry goalkeeper.
In the circumstances, I reckon a raised finger was a pretty restrained response.
Don’t these precious ‘fans’ want to make you puke? They spew out the most vile abuse at opposition players, then come over all offended when the players react.
Stop acting like knackers, lads. Then the players won’t be tempted to offend your delicate sensibilities.
